Today’s quote is one I took from one book I love and am currently re-reading (I love re-reading books when they make a movie out of it, right before I go see the movie). Anyway; this might be he most famous quote of the book, but nevermind, I love it.

The only people for me are the mad ones, the ones that are mad to live, mad to talk, mad to be saved, desirous of everything at the same time, the ones who never yawn or say a commonplace thing, but burn, burn, burn like fabulous roman candles exploding like spiders accross the stars (…)

Quote Sunday: I do happen to be shy!

This is not an inspirational quote, just one I totally relate to because I feel exactly the same. I’ve been less and less shy with the years. I still happen to be with people that I don’t know. But when I’m with people I know, with family, friends, etc. I can be the most talkative, funny, outgoing person ever. I can even go to other people that I don’t know and tell/ask them things I would normally never do, just because I’m with people I’m confortable with. I’m so freaking complicated lol

Today I’ve been to the Louis Vuitton / Marc Jacobs exhibit! It was awesome, but I particularly loved this quote that I found at some place and which totally fits me. I’m obsessed with everything shiny and sparkling. One more thing Marc and I have in common ;) haha

I like this quote because it is incredibly true. People lack confidence and that’s often what stops them from doing amazing things. If you want to lose weight, the first step is to believe that you will be able to cut out the bad food and to workout. You have to believe that you are strong enough to do it. Many women just tell themselves “it’s useless, I know I will run to pizza after 5 minutes anyway”. This is so bad. Maybe you will. Maybe at one point you will break down and go for a pizza. But actually believing that you are capable of doing it will make you more motivated and you will actually do it.

Confidence is always the key. Don’t be too confident because it can annoy people. But be confident enough to not be afraid to set high goals and dream big. Don’t always underestimate yourself: YOU CAN DO IT. The biggest ennemy to your success is yourself. Once you realize this, nothing can stop you. Don’t be afraid, accept all the challenges like a new experience, accept the failures like a lesson learned. You will go stronger, more confident and nothing will scare you anymore. Keep dreaming big and going after those dreams. They come true for those who dare believing in it enough.

I think this quote is deeply true. Fashion is taking inspiration from everything you see and everything you do. That’s how you build who you are and consequentely, your style and what you wear. If you want people to see you as interesting, to find your look interesting, you have to be interesting – and you get interesting by trying new things, experiencing, watching around you, listening and talking to other people etc. I believe that living a happy, eventful life will make you a beautiful interesting person and that will show on your style and give you inspiration!
