Best dressed at the MTV Movie Awards

Already a new best dressed list! Is it my fault if several big events take place the same week? Sure not, and we are not going to complain. I will list you my top 5 as well as an honorary list for those that I love and that almost made the top.

#01 – Elizabeth Banks in an Elie Saab jumpsuit

This jumpsuit is super fierce! I am not quite sure I would feel comfortable to wear this myself (yet!) but I love actresses who dare wearing original pieces on the red carpet! This jumpsuit is very sexy thanks to lace details. It can be hard to make a jumpsuit look great and feminine, but Elie Saab’s pretty much a genius; and Elizabeth is the perfect model.

#02 – Victoria Justice in an Erin Fetherston dress

Victoria’s dress is perfect because it’s both appropriate for her age and easily copyable for us, regular teens with little money. The colours are very summerish, the cut very fresh. As I said, it’s the perfect summer evening dress, that can be worn without the belt and bracelets for more simplicity (if you’re at the beach for example).

#03 – Jenna Dewan-Tatum in a Lublu dress

This dress is very sexy but Jenna is so pretty and classy that she can pull it off. The cut of the dress is original which is why I love it so much. Needless to mention that mint is THE colour of the summer so Jenna got it all right!

#04 – Kristen Stewart in a Guishem dress

Kristen always surprises us with unusual prints. This time was no exception. The yellow, purple and silverish colours work really well together. Once again, Kristen proves us that she masters the unconventional “mini”.

#05 – Leighton Meester in a Christian Cota ensemble

It wouldn’t be honest to say that I always agree with Leighton’s fashion picks. Yet, there is no denying that the girl knowns what she’s doing. The girly suit has been a recurrent trend on the red carpet: Leighton tranformed it to be summer-appropriate. Carrot pants became shorts, the blazer lost its sleeves and Leighton added prints and colours with her shirt. I strongly approve.

Honorary list

Shailene Woodley – Kate Beckinsale – Kristen Prout

Louise Roe – Emma Stone – Emma Watcon

CFDA awards 2012: winners and best dressed

Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall is full of designers and fashionistas. No, this is not fashion week in advance. Yesterday nice, people from the fashion industry celebrated the CFDA awards 2012 that prizes the best fashion designers of the year. Our congratulations to Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen who won the award for “Womenswear designer of the year” for “The Row”, beating some favorites such as the brothers behind Proenza Schouler. For the full list of winners, go here.

As for the best dressed list, only 3 caught my eyes: Zoe Saldana, Mandy Moore and Julianne Hough. Others were too sophisticated (in a bad way, at least for me) or disturbing (read: Candice Swanepoel looking like Heidi with her braided hair).

Spread the love and go shop The Row!

The Diane festival!

It’s ridiculous how Diane Kruger stole the spotlight at the 65th edition of the Cannes festival. Every single day, she would appear in a stunning dress, looking more gorgeous everytime. This woman looks so damn pretty and so natural at the same time, this makes me jealous. This should make me hate her, but I just can’t. She’s way too lovely. Here are a few of Diane’s looks during the festival – enjoy!

Spread the love for the sake of Diane’s flawless fashion tastes!

Best dressed this week: from Cannes to New York!

Hey there! I’m finally done with finals which means I can finally start updating the blog regularly again. And I’m also working on some exciting project / extension for the blog, so be on the lookout! Today, I’m sharing with you a few of my favorite looks from this week: between the Cannes festival and the tv channels upfronts in New York City, we have plenty of dresses to droll over.

Let’s start in Cannes …

Eva Longoria looked beyond gorgeous in a Marchesa gown with and Brian Atwood heels. It’s probably one of my favorite gowns from red carpets this year: she simply was stunning. I mean, THIS BACK!!!!!

Diane Kruger always makes my top lists with her flawless tastes. She always wears the most delicate, beautiful dresses and Cannes was no exception. She looked so refreshing in her mint Giambattista Valli gown.

Finally, Marion Cotillard looked super pretty at the premiere of her movie “Rust And Bone” in a Dior Couture dress (not the first time she’s wearing Dior at the festival, is she making Dior her favorite designer for the Croisette?!).

Now, let’s take the plane to New York …

Cobie Smulders rocked a sexy little white dress at the CBS upfronts to support her hit tv show “How I met Your Mother”. She perfected her look with red lips and pumps to add a touch of colour. Simple and effective.

Girls looked pretty great at the Fox Upfronts as well. Lea Michele wore a stunning Emilio Pucci dress. She pull it off pretty well, don’t you think?!

As for Zooey Deschanel, she looked amazing in her both classy and sexy outfit. It’s the kind of outfit that could be “TOO simple” but the cut of the clothes make them look super cool and original.

Spread the love and try to get over the fact that you cannot walk the red carpet in stunning dresses too! Life’s unfair ;)

Best dressed of the day: Nina Dobrev at ISF event!

Nina totally rocket a blue sparkling asymetric dress, which is one of my favorite trends of the season. So here it is, Nina is my favorite look of the day/week with this simple but super cute dress <3
